Long have we sought as one people
To unlock the great enigma up above
Wanting to be blind we push through the borders
Strong of will but greatly ill-advised

Why have the once-wise chosen to be foolish?
Wo trade a vaccuum refuge for a next that we befouled

Is knowledge we desire but a grand escape
Four our greatest minds?
And not the deliverance from the doom
that we brought on ourselves?

This majestic blue vessel - a world on its own
Its size exceeded by its reach into the depths
We dare to rise but to plunge ourselves
to where our great minds can no longer bear a torch
