Let Me Fall

Bleu Edmondson

Stumblin’ in from the gray light
Another morning bed time
I don't feel like sleepin'
I can't shake it this time
It's been 3 years runnin'
And I still watch her sleep
From the floor of a dark room
An empty bottle at my feet

I'm suppose to be happy
That's what I was told
But tell me how do you hang on with nothin’ to hold
Don't need a reason
Can't say nothing at all
And if the night cannot hold me
Let me fall

Saw my life in a movie
Some late night show
And as I drifted off to sleep
I had nowhere to go
It used to be easy
Cause the night was my friend
I don't know where I'm going and I'm scared of where I've been

I'm suppose to be happy
That's what I was told
But tell me how do you hang on with nothin’ to hold
Don't need a reason
Can't say nothing at all
And if the night cannot hold me
Let me fall

There's light on the world now
Salt in the air
I scream out the window to a world that don't care
Don't need a reason
Can't say nothin' at all
And if the night cannot hold me
Let me fall

You don't need a reason
You can't say nothin' at all
And if the night can not hold me
Let me fall
