The Prophet III - The Lesson Learned

Fireaxe

No one is righteous, no not one.
No one does good, not even one.
Every man is a sinner and must kneel before the Lord.
You cannot work your way into heaven. You must be saved by the grace of God.
You can be a slave to sin or you can be a slave to God.
The wages of sin is death, but Christ offers eternal life.
Your mortal body is wicked, its passions will drive you to sin.
Let it die like Christ on the cross, and your spirit will live in him.
You have no excuse whoever you are.
The judgment of God you cannot escape.
You shall know the fear of God. You shall know his wrath and fury.
For the lust within your hearts. For your shameless acts of malice.
For your evil and covetousness. For your envy, strife, and murder.
For your slander you haters of god. For your deceit, heartless and ruthless.
And on that day when righteous judgment comes,
there will be tribulation and you deserve to die.
On your knees and repent.

And the prophet said, “You must suffer for your sins.”
And the prophet said, “You must suffer all your lives.”
And the prophet said, “You are weakened by the flesh.”
And the prophet said, “Pray for forgiveness.”

Jerusalem fallen to ruin.
They were enslaved and dragged into Rome.
Raped and tortured, persecuted, and thrown to the lions.
Chained and shackled, whipped like dogs, and beaten to breaking.
But they never surrendered.

And through it all how they suffered for their sins.
And through it all how they suffered all their lives.
And in the end the emperor knelt before the Lord.
And in the end the lesson was learned.
The emperor knew you must suffer to be saved.
And he set out to save the world.
