Behold The Lamb

Mário Alves

Pra Jerusalem'm walking. The time for sacrifice has come.
My two little children came together to travel. Came to watch lamb.
They said: "My dad, we'll see there? To us, your children, explicai.
And I talked stories of the heroes of faith. And the young lamb, look. The huge crowd in Jerusalem take heed, the temptation that the lamb you do not lose.
And I talked stories of the heroes of faith. And the young lamb, look.
When we got there, I saw that something happened. Many men shouting and angry.
I grabbed my two children in the fury of the crowd, and then I heard shouting:
The crucify him!
We tried to leave, but I could not. Forced me to do a role I've ever seen.
I just thought: Why these men will die?
I just thought the children there to see them suffer.
I then saw what happened. The first asked for forgiveness, the people gave him.
The other violent. But he did not ask for forgiveness. I still hear the wrath of the crowd screaming voice.
Someone said: It's Jesus!
I can not believe.
He looked bad in both the living scourge. Blood in his body, by so much aggression. Soaking the cross to fall to the ground.
I saw his fight and saw when he fell. The cross falling upon him with force pierced. In a moment I felt agony. Seemed to miss the light. And a soldier to look at me shouted:
Tu, take the cross!
I wanted to try to resist, but his voice gave me a fright. Knelt by taking the cross of the Lord. The put on the shoulder with blood shed. E staining my face, blood dripping.
We went to Golgotha where they crucified him. And the cross I heard him pray:
Father, forgive them. Never, never seen so much love in someone who ever lived. Into Your hands I commit My Spirit.
He prayed and then died.
Time no longer existed. I saw everything stop. I felt a tiny hand in my hold.
My son then, crying with guilt he felt, said:
My dad, forgive us! The lamb we fled. My dad, now here? To us, your children, explicai.
And I took them in his arms, turn around to cross and said:
The Lamb children, lo!
